Our Heritage

Our journey began in 1936, under the original name Roman Manufacturing Corp., founded by Larry and Olga Mazzola. Specializing in monogramming for fine linens, handkerchiefs, towels, and fur coat linings, our brand quickly became synonymous with excellence. The company evolved into The Roman Art Embroidery Corp., garnering a prestigious clientele, including professional sports teams, for whom we designed embroidered logos.

In the early 1950s, we ventured into computerized embroidery, pioneering the use of Jacquard-driven Gross embroidery machines. This innovation positioned us as a leading supplier of embroidered sportswear, including golf shirts and sportswear, in the region.

The mid-1950s marked another milestone with the acquisition of the only Schiffli embroidery looms in New England. Our looms, coupled with pantograph punching machines, enabled us to produce intricate lace, fashion fabrics, sports emblems, and official badges for police and fire departments.

Expanding Horizons

The 1970s and 1980s saw us branching into headwear with the inception of the Roman Pro Cap Company, creating baseball caps that were highly regarded by professional sports teams and high-profile clients, including the Boston Red Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, Montreal Expos, and Los Angeles Dodgers as well as Spike Lee's 40 Acres & a Mule Company and various law enforcement agencies across the USA.

the Birth of Apparel 2000

In the mid 1990’s Robert Mazzola (Larry and Olga’s son) sold the Roman Pro Cap manufacturing portion of the business to a private equity firm and retained the embroidery and emblem side of the business under the name Apparel2000. With a focus on custom digitizing and garment embroidery as well as emblem manufacturing using the most sophisticated embroidery equipment available.

Transition and Innovation: LogoVinci Today

In the year 2023, a significant merger occurred as Apparel 2000 joined forces with, culminating in the creation of LogoVinci, Inc. This unification has allowed us to combine decades of skill in both traditional and contemporary digital garment decoration techniques. With our roots firmly planted in Massachusetts and New York, LogoVinci, Inc. stands as a beacon of innovation in the apparel industry, offering an enriched portfolio of services to our clients.
